Crisp cold, steaming horses and a chearfully warm atomsphere in the local pubs and traverns characterize this age-old horse market, first recorded in the 14th century.

True to its name it is held during the second week in January.A real feast for the eyes - not only for the horse-fans - is the impressing procession of over 300 horses, riders and carriages, winding its way through the old town.
